The original installation was very efficiently and professionally conducted and the service has operated flawlessly since installation. Ever since installation I have enjoyed very significant reduction in my electricity bills, at least a halving of my bills. I could save more money if I was more diligent shifting load to more sunny times of the day!! 🙂 I have recently shifted to heart pump hot water and hydronic heating to take advantage of cheap solar power. Off peak electric hot water had become the most expensive part of my electricity bill (apart from poles and wires!!) The heat pump driven heating has allowed us to move away from gas heating and enjoy a beautiful warmth throughout the house.
Poor customer service and unprofessional sales tactics. I called to arrange a routine site quotation for a new property build. I was told directly by their representative that they refuse to come out to perform an on-site inspection unless I "could guarantee and be sure that I would be purchasing the system from them." Demanding a locked-in commitment before a customer even receives a formal quote or a physical technical assessment is an absurd and aggressive way to do business. 0 Star!
I have purchased a solar system and battery through Smart Energy. Beth was my consultant and was extremely helpful through the process. I have managed to get my monthly power bills down to about $75 (power only about $25, rest are network charges etc). In hindsight I wish I had put a bigger battery in at the time. Can recommend Smart Energy for their customer service and backup.
From start to finish dealing with Smart Energy was easy. Initially we were on the fence as to whether we would benefit from a battery. After speaking with the consultant and going through figures, it was a no brainer. Our current electricity account was still quite large even though we had panels. Adding the battery now means our bills will be minimal if we get one at all. Being able to pay them off made it very easy, we have swapped a power bill for repayments on the battery, which for us is a good investment in the future. Installation was also done without fuss and the installers could not have been more helpful. Follow up call to ensure everything was working was also appreciated. Highly Recommend
Since installing battery my bills dropped heaps. Some even in the negative. However you do need to monitor as some suppliers will change rates considerably which will cause much higher bills. Highly recommend Harry and the rest of the team. Always friendly, approachable and helpful.
Smart Energy had a few red tape problems to start with but once these were sorted the crew completed the installation of the extra panels and battery without a hitch. I now have a monthly power bill close to zero instead of $300-$400. Smart Energy have kept in touch all through the installation, highly recommend them. Murray Frith
We’re very happy with our solar panels and battery, our electricity bill have been less than $30 per month since the installation of our battery. We have been in credit for most of the last year so in effect our bills have been zero. Would absolutely encourage people to get solar panels and a battery installed.
