Boost Solar reviewers commonly single out their sales contact, with Nora, Joe, Debbie and Stella Ross named for patient, detailed explanations, and installer Jeff mentioned repeatedly for quick turnarounds and clear handovers once work was complete. Several customers describe panel layouts being adjusted on site to squeeze more production from an awkward roof, and one household became fully self-sufficient the day after an Easter weekend install. Genuine criticism also recurs, mostly concerning one salesperson, Mark, and cases where installation dates slipped for months after a deposit was paid, or where the quoted price rose once a customer asked about financing options. A separate complaint describes an EV charger fitted with cabling run for the wrong cable length after the supplied unit did not match the specification given to the installer. As a solar installer in Sydney, Boost Solar holds a 4.8-star average from 717 Google reviews.

I want to share my experience with this company because if I had known beforehand what I know now, I would never have chosen them. The issues weren't limited to a single mistake. It felt like there were problems at every stage of the process, and every time I tried to resolve them, I was met with excuses, broken promises, or information that contradicted what I had previously been told. The biggest issue started with the EV charger installation. The installer was told the charger would come with a 10-metre cable, so he ran all cabling and installed the charger in a location that only made sense if the cable was actually 10 metres long. When the charger arrived, it only had a 5-metre cable. The installer was very clear this wasn't his mistake and stated the company had made the error and should rectify it. When I raised the issue, Mark agreed to relocate the charger at their expense when they were less busy. I accepted that solution, but when the time came, that promise was abandoned and they refused to do what they had previously agreed to. I was also shocked by the way the work was supervised and signed off. The person who signed off on the work was not present for the installation and only appeared briefly before inspection. Leaving unlicensed contractors unsupervised throughout the process has caused me to question the entire installation. The fire risk could cost people their homes and lives. What made this even more frustrating was discovering the work was carried out by subcontractors, despite Mark specifically telling me during the sales process that they did not use subcontractors. Had I known that from the start, it would have influenced my decision. The overall quality of the job also left a lot to be desired. Screws, cable offcuts and other debris were left around my property after the installation was completed. Another aspect that shocked me was the payment structure. I was required to pay the full amount before the system would be completed and commissioned. Looking back, this removed virtually all of my leverage as a customer. Once they had been paid in full, there was very little incentive for them to return and fix the problem their own mistake had created. Perhaps the most disappointing part came after I expressed my frustration and advised them that I intended to leave negative feedback. I received written communication suggesting that negative feedback could influence whether they performed future warranty or service work. Rather than addressing the issues I raised, it felt as though I was being blackmailed from sharing my genuine experience. What started as a simple battery and charger installation became months of frustration, follow-up emails, broken promises and arguments over a problem I did not create. The charger was installed where it was because the company provided incorrect information to their own installer. They acknowledged that mistake, agreed to fix it, and then walked away from that commitment. I even have messages from the installer reaching out to them on my behalf because he knew I was being treated unfairly. At the end of the day, mistakes happen. What matters is how a company responds when they make them. Unfortunately, my experience was that promises were made, trust was lost, and accountability disappeared once payment had been received. I genuinely wish I had chosen a different company. For reference, I purchased a 48kWh Sigenergy battery, 22kW Sigenergy charger and 25kW inverter for $27,300. The installer told me I had paid more than other customers had paid them for similar systems, so if you are currently looking for a new system, you can use this as a guide.
I am attaching snapshots for commitment of price $9800 and not fulfilling it till April 2026 . Also snapshot when I write first review , got fooled 2nd time and deleted the comments and agreeing paying $1000 extra just to close the topic . Waited another 2 months and today same drama , company asking 3rd rate rise under the umbrella of government rebate making it some sort of scam organised crime where vulnerable customers are forced to pay extra with threat that rebates are finishing but in reality they delay every month to exploit people by increasing few thousand Dollar each customer . Imagine 2000$ extra with each customer will make huge amount if they planting it with few hundred customers . Last 4 pics ; after deleting review and signed new contract with increased price . Starting pictures were of first contract and getting fooled from September 2025 till 10-April-2026. All Desi people with Fake names playing with System and making money . I request not to a single dollar unless everything installed even if you want to go with them otherwise avoid this company . Do not go for their rating as this also comes by spending perks and gifting vouchers to write reviews . Hopefully I will request fair trading tomorrow to check if they are practicing the same thing with dozens of customers in organised and planned way or not ? otherwise my case for sure will be lodged tomorrow against this dodgy company .
I made a commitment in November 2025. After four months filled with numerous calls, emails, and unfulfilled promises, they were unable to provide an installation date. This experience has been costly for me. I do not consider them ethical and will avoid using their services in the future. On a positive note, Mark consistently maintained a polite demeanor, although the service ultimately did not meet expectations.
We ordered the instalation of panels and battery during Easter weekend. Today 21 April we have our house self-sufficient as the instalation was completed yesterday. We are very happy with the service. We felt informed about every step of the process from the quote stage to the post-instalation communications. The layout of the panels was changed comparing to the quotation because the installers did their best to make the most efficient solar production for our roof. I would highly recommend this company. Thank you!
After hearing all the different experiences that my friends had from so many different Solar companies, the decision that I made to go with BOOST SOLAR is very different and satisfying. Mark, Jeff and all of their team members who assisted with installations are very efficient and professionally equipped. Mark especially noted to be very knowledgeable and always there to help and assist with each and every inquiries. I strongly suggest everyone to do their own research before making decisions because it is your large investment and trusting is very important. But after my experience, I strongly recommend BOOST SOLAR and talk to Mark. I am sure, you will not going to be disappointed. Thank you.
Definitely recommend Boost Solar, thanks to Joe for all the lead up work and phone calls and explaining and answering all my questions. Jeff from the installation team for the quick turnaround to book installation in to enable completion while I was on leave, and the install team were efficient, cleaned up and explained how the system worked and what I needed to know. Once again definitely recommend Boost Solar
