Great company. Alex was great to talk to and very thorough with his report on what system would best suit our needs. The team that did the install were great too and did a great job. Highly recommend them.
Salesman very knowledgeable and well resourced. Flexible to our needs and bad experience with other solar providers. Met agreed installation timelines. What was not good was ongoing requests for payment outside of contractual agreement with no acknowledgement of that fact, coming home to find that solar panels had been installed on front roof of house where it was agreed that they were not to be placed so poor communication to installers. Mixed results with our experience.
For a company charging premium prices, the experience was anything but premium. We originally signed a contract for an Alpha system. What followed was a drawn-out process of delays, substitutions, and poor communication that required us to fight for what we paid for at every step. The inverter was upgraded to 10kw but swapped to an inferior brand (Goodwe) without our agreement. The salesperson also provided incorrect information about battery dimensions, which affected how the installation was configured. We raised that Goodwe was not the quality we expected for the price paid, and after pushback a new contract was drawn up for a Sigenergy system instead. Despite signing the new contract, we never received written installation confirmation. The day before installation we followed up ourselves and discovered they were still planning to install the wrong system! Had we not been personally vigilant at every single stage, we would not have received what we contracted and paid for. On installation day the tradies played loud music from 8am until i asked them to turn it down after hours, and left rubbish on the roof. The system is now operational but the entire experience required us to do the company's quality control for them. We should not have had to fight this hard, over the entire experience, to receive what we signed for.
I just wanted to write to explain the installation process I have just experienced. I had Jack, Jack, and Ryan from Think Renewable attend my property to do the battery install. They were on time, so friendly, polite, informative – I am actually quite surprised because this is not the usual tradie experience – I wasn’t dismissed, spoken over, or condescended to once. I was actually part of the team that got the 44c feed in tariff into policy and then into QLD homes back in 2008 so am quite well informed about solar PV, and was fully expecting to have it all mansplained to me - but my cynicism was unwarranted. He was interested in that history and spoke to me as an equal. Jack allowed me to record his handover so I could share it with the rest of the household this afternoon, and supplemented his handover by ensuring the explanations and physical directions were filmed perfectly. Jack left the site tidy, and then hung around at the end because “something wasn’t quite right” – and he was right, something wasn’t right with the software installation. He then worked (in the rain!) to sort the issue. His work ethic is in a class of its own – we have had over 20 tradies here over the last few years with renovations, repairs and new builds, and this has really stood out as the best experience we have had. I spoke to him in person to let him know how impressed I was, but also now want to write back to let you know because the man deserves accolades for his work. He is an excellent representative for your company, and I am very pleased that this was my experience. I cannot recommend him enough! I was also supported at the beginning from enquiry to booking by Jonny and they were also very helpful and responsive. I feel confident I made the right choice to go with Think Renewable.
We were in good hands with senior design consultant, Alex. As a customer focused professional, I have high expectations of what service means and Alex delivered. He was approachable, informative, flexible and followed through. Nothing was too much trouble. The install team were respectful, answered all my questions with kindness and tidied upon completion. A run through of the app was provided to get us start with monitoring the solar activity. Thanks team, it was a good experience. Alex is a valuable member of your team!
Jacob Smith and the team were fantastic from start to finish. Jacob was a great communicator, clearly knows what he’s talking about, and was always reachable throughout the entire process, which made everything really easy and stress-free. The install team did an excellent job. The system looks clean and professional, and they took the time to tidy up properly afterwards, which I really appreciated. Very happy with the quality of the install and the overall experience. Highly recommend.
