Greencell Energy - Solar Panels & Home Batteries Installer Cairns

Greencell Energy is a locally owned Cairns business that has operated since 2015, serving Cairns and Townsville. It is a NETCC Approved Seller and a Clean Energy Council Approved Solar Retailer, and all solar installations are performed by CEC accredited solar installers. The company specialises in residential and commercial solar installations, with packages ranging from 6.6kW residential installations up to 100kW large scale commercial projects. It offers a 10-year workmanship warranty on installations.

Every racking system installed is certified to AS/NZS 1170.2 Region C Cyclone Standards, and marine-grade aluminium and stainless-steel racking and fixings are used where specified. Greencell Energy specifies N-Type TOPCon panels, including Trina Vertex S+ and Jinko Tiger Neo. It manages the Ergon Energy grid connection process on the customer's behalf. Services include solar panel installation, battery storage, EV charging solutions, and solar panel maintenance, inspections and repairs.

Cairns residents who have engaged Greencell Energy for solar work describe a process shaped by informed guidance from the first conversation through to commissioning. Jas is the name that recurs most often, credited with explaining options clearly, matching system sizes to household needs and steering projects from beginning to end, while Hamish and Harish are also noted for patient, prompt communication during quoting and follow-up.

Installations ranging from 6.6 kW to 11.2 kW feature across the feedback, including a project at Mareeba, with crews led by Jamie Morris, Josh and his team, and the DNA Electrical pair, all earning consistent mention for punctuality, efficiency and courtesy on site. A point made in several accounts is the tidiness of the finished work, from neat cabling to clean sites and mobile app setup before the crew leaves.

Reviewers repeatedly highlight the absence of hard selling, fair pricing and a local, installer-led approach balancing performance with cost. Repeat business and referrals to family and friends appear in the feedback, alongside after-installation visits to confirm everything is operating correctly. Battery storage and hot water systems sit within the broader work described, rounding out a picture of a team that stays responsive once the panels are running.
