I engaged Helcro Solar for a battery installation site inspection in March 2026. The day after the electrician's visit, our solar system stopped generating entirely showing a grid loss fault. An independent electrician subsequently found a loose neutral wire connection and confirmed this type of fault requires physical handling to occur. When I raised this with Helcro, I was met with dismissive responses and a flat denial that their electrician could have caused the fault despite a written report from an independent electrician supporting my position. It took over 20 emails and a threat to escalate to Consumer Affairs Victoria and Energy Safe Victoria before Helcro agreed to cover the $283 call-out fee I had incurred. The compensation was provided as a goodwill gesture with no acknowledgment of responsibility. I would not recommend Helcro based on this experience. Update below to respond to owner's reply: Thank you for your response. I'd like to address a few points for the benefit of anyone reading. I notice that your response does not address the tone of our correspondence. For context, when I provided a third-party electrician's report as your team had requested, I was told: 'For all I know this could be a friend of yours.' I'll leave readers to judge whether that reflects the goodwill you describe. On communication: I did email your electrician directly after the fault appeared, which was the natural first point of contact given he had just been on site. When I received no reply, I followed up with a second email copying in your info and sales addresses. Your team's own response times ranged from days to weeks, so the suggestion that I should have called sooner sits oddly. On the technical dispute: your initial response stated, and I quote, '[Electrician] would not have loosened that single screw. There is no way.' This was a flat denial made before any meaningful investigation. An independent licensed electrician provided a written report stating the fault was consistent with manual handling. That report was dismissed without a credible counter-explanation. On the goodwill gesture: I appreciate that a $300 Visa card was sent. However, this only came after I explicitly threatened to escalate to Consumer Affairs Victoria and Energy Safe Victoria, following more than 20 emails. The process required far more persistence than a $283 dispute should. Finally, I note that the day after I posted this review, I received a phone call from you asking me to take it down. I'll leave readers to draw their own conclusions from that. I have tried to keep this review factual throughout and stand by everything I have written.

You got my signature in the end and thanks to you, I got to experience Helcro Solar to the fullest. Mitch, your knowledge and workmanship are second to none! Thank you for taking the time to go through the pre-installation checklists with me to ensure that everything was in order. Fantastic work with the retrofitting of the Power Dock Pro, your attention to detail and quality of your craft is duly noted and greatly appreciated. Daniel and his installation team lead by Simon were faultless! Thank you for treating our home with care during the course of the installation process. I was specifically impressed with the constant dialogue and consultation to ensure that everything was done to our satisfaction and requirement. Luke, the unassuming plumber who decommissioned our old HWS and replaced with the new Haier HWS. He certainly let his work do all the talking and the result speaks for themselves. Special mention to Madhavaraj Ponraj (Anker Technical Supervisor) for attending our installation. Your presence and knowledge on the day greatly contributed towards a smooth and successful installation. Needless to say, I’m very grateful and happy to have crossed path with the team at Helcro Solar. So, if you’re finding yourself at the crossroad of your solar and battery journey then I would highly recommend engaging the services of Helcro Solar.

Helcro has recently installed a battery for us. We used them because they installed our solar several years ago. As with the solar installation the battery installation went well. From start to finish there was clear communication and they took time to determine our needs. After-sales support to help us understand the app was also good. I have no hesitation recommending the Helcro team.

I had Helcro Solar install my new battery shortly after the new battery rebate came in, and the experience was excellent. The sales team were great to deal with and took the time to ensure I fully understood all my options before making a big purchase decision. With the increase in demand there were some installation delays, however Helcro kept me informed throughout the process so I was never left in the dark. When installation day arrived, the team came on time and did a fantastic job. The finished work was neat, clean, and very professional. As most battery owners would know, there were some issues with Sigenergy inverters and mine needed to be replaced. Again, Helcro kept me up to date on the expected timeline and proactively reached out to book a suitable time for the replacement. A special shout out to Ben and Mitch, they came out to replace the inverter and also made a few tweaks to the system to ensure it was optimised and working to its full potential. Even though the sales process was easy to navigate, you really get a good sense of a company by their after-sales service, and the team at Helcro, especially Ben and Mitch, went above and beyond to ensure everything is working exactly as it should.

Helcro Solar installed a 14kw solar + ~48kw battery for me. Amazing staff. Shout out to Lee, who has been super supportive and great to work with, and the other's in their team: Mitch, Daniel, etc. Can't recommend them enough!

I have to say, I’m a high-maintenance customer. I reached out to more than five salespeople for quotes at the beginning, and none of them were as patient as Gabriel. He took the time to explain everything clearly and provided multiple proposals, even after countless emails back and forth. The installation team of three was young, passionate, and professional. They even tidied up my garage after finishing their work, which I really appreciated.
