Solargain Bendigo

Solargain Bendigo is a family-owned solar company based in Bendigo, founded early in 2024 by Nate Ruff. Nate, Caleb and Jordan Ruff started working in the solar industry in 2012, and the business is run by the three Ruff brothers. Nate Ruff is Founder and Managing Director, Caleb Ruff is Director and Service Manager, and Jordan Ruff is Director and Operations Manager and head electrician. Jordan Ruff has been specialising in installing solar systems for over 14 years. The company is an Authorised Solargain distributor and uses CEC/SAA Accredited Installers.

It services Bendigo and Central Victoria. The company offers residential solar, commercial solar, solar batteries and EV chargers, and provides ongoing maintenance and monitoring after installation. Jake Heard is Lead Electrician and completed his apprenticeship with Cola Solar in 2019. Reuben Beattie and Mar Ner are Apprentice Electricians who began their electrical apprenticeships in 2026. Aimee Phegan handles admin and marketing and previously taught in local Bendigo schools for 10 years.

Battery additions, heat pump hot water systems and the inspection of existing inverter and battery setups all feature among the work described at Solargain Bendigo, alongside new solar installations. Various customers describe the quoting stage as efficient and thorough, with household requirements discussed before any work began, and reviewers repeatedly mention that communication stayed clear from the first enquiry through to follow-up. Nate is named often for his product knowledge and for assembling proposals on systems such as the IStore, while Caleb is mentioned alongside him for technical understanding.

A theme running through the feedback is the care taken during installation, including attention to personal requests and a tidy finish, followed by clear handover instructions. Aimee on reception is singled out for handling follow-ups and keeping the process stress free. Reviewers also note prompt answers to questions, guidance on government rebates, and the absence of pressure during decision making. One account describes an inverter and battery installed by another company being checked over and a prompt, useful report returned on the areas of concern, an example of the diagnostic work the team undertakes beyond new installations.
