7am start was on time and both Richard and Brendan were courteous and polite. Didn’t really notice they were there installing our Batteries. When need they knock on the door to do some internal work with the internet and inverters. Final handover with instructions was precise and easy to follow. Installation area clean tidy and the placement of the unit in a great position. 5 stars from our end

SAE Coffs Harbour did an excellent job with my Sungrow solar battery, inverter & panels installation, which was completed end of June 2026. Richard, the electrician, and his team were professional, efficient, and got the job done quickly despite some suspect weather. The workmanship was neat, the install was smooth, and they made the whole process easy. Nathan from sales was also great to deal with. He answered multiple emails, texts, and calls while I was making adjustments, even answering me when he was on holiday. The office follow-up was prompt throughout. Overall, a very good experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend SAE Coffs Harbour.

Richard from Coffs Crew is a credit to SAE staff. He was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to explain all aspects of solar and its installation no question was to small, he is personable and professional as were those working along side Richard on the day. One thing that I thought was strange was a staff inservice taking over an hour on safety being attended to on my front veranda mid installation. 🤷‍♀️ Also communication with us from office staff in regard to installation was a bit hit and miss and wait time post paying deposit was unexpectedly lengthy to say the least even taking into consideration the supply of materials and paperwork required. Once installed we paid our invoice that afternoon in full and sent return email as requested with proof of payment only to receive a please pay invoice 3 days later. So I have replied with receipt as proof once again for I think the 3rd time. 😳 There seems to be a lack of communication , yes Easter Long weekend however this timing was SAE’s choice therefore one would think that something would be put in place in order to manage the situation of public holidays as that is out of my hands or control. It is a little rude to get emails wanting payment when this has already been attended to in a timely fashion, I would also like a receipt however I understand it is a Public Holiday and this will occur once business is back to normal hours. I am really hoping all runs smoothly in the future of our solar . Would I use SAE again, yes this is not complaining this is constructive criticism very much a matter of feedback for improvement of communication. Thanks again Raelene Austin

Coffs Harbour branch - in summary I would describe our experience in purchasing solar panels with this franchise as dysfunctional, unresponsive, unprofessional and unproductive. Please ensure you check your panels prior to installation. We were delivered Chinese knock-offs in error. They were replaced. The panels have not worked properly since August 2025. It is now March 2026. After many many many phone calls to 1300 number, we still have not received a return call. If you are considering to install solar in the Coffs Harbour area, please do your research first. We chose this company, not on price (because we didn’t want cheap), but because we thought they were reputable.
