Our neighbour recommended these guys so we engaged them for a solar quote. Quote was straight forward but I insisted we needed a site visit as our house wasn’t cookie cutter. Took weeks to get a site visit then over a month of chasing them asking what the next step was only to be told it went into the too hard basket.. wasted two months of our time and couldn’t even ring to apologise. Definitely steer away and go to an installer who knows what they’re doing.
Brenton and the team at Hielscher recently assisted with the installation of a new solar system and battery. Every interaction from initial contact through to installation and even after was to the highest standard. Every single employee that we dealt with, from Brenton the owner, to all the installers and all the administrative staff were professional, approachable and excellent to deal with. The install was clearly done with care, looks great and performs above our expectations. Would not hesitate to recommend Hielscher to anyone looking at a solar system and will definitely be using them in the future for any other solar needs we have.

Had a 20kW Longi + Sigenergy SigenStor solar/battery system installed by Hielscher Electrical in Cairns early Feb 2026. Professional from quote to finish – clear comms, smooth Ergon process, neat work. Install day was hot/rainy but they powered through professionally and got it done. System performs great: batteries full by midday, the system is sized perfect for our needs and usage. I rarely leave reviews – only do it for businesses I’d genuinely recommend as a local – and these guys have earned 5 stars.
Great service from the quoting stage through to the completion of the work. Arrived at the scheduled time to complete the installation . Tradies working on site were professional and keep me updated throughout. The work was done in a timely manner. Great teamwork by the team.
I would give 10 stars if I could! We recently had 2 towers of Fronius batteries added to our existing solar system 13.6kW by Hielscher Electrical. The owner Brandon Hielscher is incredibly knowledgeable about the different inverters and batteries brands, guiding us toward a premium option. The Installation was done professional by Brenton and a team member, and the system works exceptional well. I highly recommend Hielscher Electrical and would use them definitely again.
