Sunstak Energy Geeks

Sunstak Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated business trading from Hume in the ACT. Michael is the Managing Director. The team includes roles such as Office/Operations, Office Admin, Engineering, Senior Energy Geek, Energy Geek, Tech Support/Energy Geek, and Warehousing & Logistics, with 9+ Energy Geeks. Sunstak has been a Premium Certified Tesla Powerwall installer since 2021. It was named ACT Installer of the Year in 2024 and 2025. It is an approved seller under the ACT Government Sustainable Household Scheme and is approved by Solar Accreditation Australia.

Sunstak master installers have completed at least 100 installations with 5/5 star reviews. Sunstak offers a roof leak guarantee: if the roof leaks after installation, they pay $500 cash and fix it immediately. It also offers a stock guarantee: if they can't supply the product on the design, they replace it with an upgrade at no extra cost. Sunstak designs solar and battery systems around how a home uses energy, leaving room to add storage, EV charging or hot water later.

Its engineer designs systems in house. Sunstak has installed systems on more than 1000 streets across Belconnen, Bungendore, Canberra, Googong, Gungahlin, Molonglo Valley, North Canberra, Queanbeyan, South Canberra, Tuggeranong, Weston Creek and Woden. Its main services are solar, batteries and EV charging, designed and installed across the ACT and surrounding NSW. Sunstak has helped 2,000+ Canberra homes and businesses.

Residential battery and solar projects form the bulk of the work described, with Tesla Powerwall units, expansion packs and gateway components regularly added to existing arrays, and Aiko panels paired with Sungrow batteries appearing in several accounts. Named staff feature prominently: Sage is repeatedly praised for clear, friendly communication, Bec for her helpfulness, Richard for patient follow-up after commissioning, and Michael for working around an awkward roof layout when planned panels would not fit.

A recurring theme in the feedback is the quoting stage, where battery brands and their trade-offs are laid out plainly before any commitment, and the same diligence carried a warranty replacement forward despite slow responses from the manufacturer. Reviewers often note punctual scheduling, efficient installation, and prompt answers from both office staff and installers, including the owner arranging a site visit when existing inverter details were difficult to trace. Air conditioning and heat pump work sits alongside the solar and battery jobs, and the finished workmanship is described as neat, with handover guidance leaving owners confident about getting the most from their systems.
