These guys are very professional & knowledgeable. So reasonable for the same system other company quoted 28K. I liked their consultations & system design against my usage. Hope I don’t get a bill.

I got big system from Daylight Solar in Kelso. They installed 13kwh Solar & Battery for me in January. I haven’t received any bills after that. Their consultan (AVY) & Installer (Gus) were great. Highly Recommended.

Recently got our solar system installed in Townsville. Installation team did clean and good job.Aric also helped us to set up the app, now we can check our daily panel production and battery charging percentage. Very happy with the service. Definitely recommend!

I would not recommend Daylight Solar to anyone. Our battery was installed on 9 April. Four days later I reported that it was only charging to around 7–15%. What followed was more than two months of chasing Daylight Solar for answers while paying both electricity bills and finance repayments on a battery that was not operating as intended. On 19 June, the battery suddenly started charging properly. Nobody bothered to tell me anything had been done. I had to contact Daylight Solar repeatedly, then contact the installer myself, who told me a remote adjustment had been made. I still have not been given a proper explanation of what was wrong or exactly what was done to fix it. I am exhausted from explaining the same thing to Daylight Solar, the installer Bear Solar and FoxESS, only to be told “the battery is working fine.” Yes, it is working now. THAT IS NOT THE POINT. It did not work properly for more than two months from installation, despite me reporting the problem almost immediately and continuously following it up. Daylight Solar also repeatedly ignored my requests for access to the app. I asked at least three times via text to be set up on the app or be given the information I needed to do it myself. I wasn't even told the NAME of the app. Instead, I was either told I would be set up once the battery was fixed or that part of my text was just ignored. FoxESS helped me set it up within minutes when I eventually called them. The fact that I had to go directly to the manufacturer for something I had repeatedly asked Daylight Solar to provide says a lot about the level of support I received. Since installation, I repeatedly followed up and was told Daylight Solar was working with FoxESS and waiting on them. Yet when I investigated myself, the installer told me they had performed a remote adjustment, while FoxESS told me software updates are performed by the installer. Daylight Solar said that wasn’t correct. The explanations I have received simply do not match up. At this point, I genuinely believe that if I had not continually chased Daylight Solar, contacted the installer myself and then contacted FoxESS directly, my battery could still be sitting at 7–15% today. I have essentially had to coordinate and investigate the problem with my own system because nobody else seemed capable of keeping me informed or taking ownership of it. The difference since the battery began working properly is glaring. Before the change, electricity bills included $150.25 and $145.89. Once charging to 100%, it dropped to $52.79, with just 36.54 kWh imported from the grid and most of the charges being the daily service fee. On 13 July, Daylight Solar agreed to provide the written documentation I requested of their communications with FoxESS and Bear Solar, because I wanted to understand what investigation had actually taken place. More than a month later — nothing. Communication has simply stopped AGAIN. And now, more than four months after installation, I have discovered that Ergon has not even received correspondence notifying them of the installation of our solar battery. Ergon confirmed this to me in writing and advised me to follow it up with the installing electrician. So once again, I am the one chasing somebody else for answers. Since 9 April, I have repeatedly had to chase Daylight Solar, then resort to the installer - Bear Solar, FoxESS and now Ergon myself just to establish what happened to my own system. I should not have to investigate a company's installation for them. Selling me the system was apparently the easy part. Getting accountability, documentation, straight answers — or even a reply at the very least — has been an absolute nightmare from the moment we signed the contract. The communication and after-sales support have been utterly abysmal. I have lodged a formal complaint. If this is the level of support provided after they have secured a $13,000 contract, then I deeply regret choosing Daylight Solar and wish I had taken my business elsewhere.
