Sun City Solar

Sun City Solar was established in 2006 and is locally owned and operated in Geraldton. The business has over 30 years of electrical experience and holds full solar accreditations. It has partnered with Solahart. Its team supplies and installs systems, with no sub-contractors.

Sun City Solar services the Midwest region. It won the Midwest Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2018 for 'Excellence in Customer Service'. Its main services include grid connect, battery storage, stand alone, and caravan and camper servicing.

Sun City Solar earns steady praise from customers across the Mid West, and reviewers in Geraldton return again and again to the standard of both the equipment and the workmanship. Accounts of solar and battery installations recur, among them a 6.6 kW home system where the crew managed the removal of a much older array and worked around a roof restoration without disruption.

A theme running through the feedback is the value of dealing with a specialist who both quotes and carries out the installation, rather than a salesperson who hands the job to someone else, and the individual attention to each household's needs is singled out. Advice and communication before and after the job are described as clear and patient, with Anika and Scott both named for their helpful manner. Efficiency and punctuality are frequently noted, along with a readiness to troubleshoot, including a campervan battery fault that was attended to early.

Stock levels, particularly batteries and Victron components, are mentioned as an advantage, as is guidance that prevented a costly design error in a 48V setup. Tidiness and professionalism on site are remarked upon, while pricing is consistently described as fair. Repeat custom appears in the feedback, with one household returning for a second installation and crediting the thorough, personalised approach from first quote to final handover.
