I recently had a solar system installed after working with Tom at Solar Plant, and overall it’s been a very positive experience. From the start, the design and features were clearly explained, and the system was tailored well to our needs. The installation itself was quick, efficient, and handled professionally. We did run into some initial technical issues, including subpar wiring at the meter box. However, the team took full responsibility and returned promptly to resolve everything properly at their own expense, which I appreciated. They also provided solid support during the period between installation and the smart meter being set up, even though the system doesn’t fully cater to that transition phase. Tom stood out as a strong advisor throughout the process—he took the time to understand our more complex requirements, especially around our IT infrastructure, and delivered a system with sufficient capacity and battery storage. He also helped optimise the setup to reduce our monthly electricity costs, which has made a noticeable difference. Overall, a reliable company that backs its work and delivers on what it promises.

We’re based in Moore Creek and originally had a 26.6 kW solar system installed by Solar Plant Tamworth about two years ago. We went with the all-black panels, and they look awesome on the roof — really clean and modern. Before solar, our family used to use over 100 kWh a day from the grid, and the power bills were getting out of hand. I got in touch with Thomas from Solar Plant, and he came out to our place. He took the time to go through our AGL app usage and clearly explained the benefits of self-consumption vs export credit, which really helped bring our bills down to a more reasonable level. With the new federal battery rebate, we decided to go further and added a 51.2 kWh GoodWe battery (two stacks of 25.6 kWh each) along with a 20 kW hybrid inverter. The setup gives us excellent charging and discharging capacity — and now, with the battery system running, it honestly feels like using more than 1 kWh from the grid per day would be a hard task to achieve! Once again, Thomas went above and beyond — he even helped us switch to Amber Electric so we can take advantage of peak-time discharge and showed us how to set up the battery to discharge overnight when rates are higher. We’re really happy with how everything turned out and are excited for when GoodWe’s Smart Shift integration with Amber becomes available. I honestly can’t recommend Solar Plant and Thomas highly enough for his professionalism and attention to detail — but more importantly, for always being happy to help us after hours or even on weekends. That kind of service is rare these days. He really deserves a 10-star rating if it were possible!

I installed 13.2kw solar 6 months ago and 19.2kw battery 3 months ago from Solar Plant, thatsaved a lot on my electricity bill, so I am very happy with it. Thomas is fantastic, he always look after my electric bill, and give me advice when I need help I very happy with that

Very happy with Thomas ; he came to our house explain the benefits of the battery and recommended us to get bigger battery and add more panels to be able to offset our morning usage as our existing system wasn’t producing enough in the morning to cover our usage and bigger battery to help getting more credit for discharging at night 👍 we had the battery now for about 3 weeks and we can see on our red energy app that our usage is basically less than 1 kw per day now ; he then proceed to catch up with us and help us setting the battery to discharge at night to benefit getting the 16.7c/kw . We are so glad to deal with someone local in Tamworth and especially the extra service which he offers ( reviewing and changing our energy plan ) definitely help us getting the best out our system and make us feel special as not many company’s offer this type of help . I got my solar system done with Solar Plant about 3 years ago, and just recently added a 20 kW Alpha battery with Thomas’ help. It’s been running for just over a month now and I couldn’t be happier. My power bill was already pretty low before, and now it’s basically nothing. Thomas made the whole process easy and straight-forward. Good local service and very happy with the outcome.
