Active Batteries & Solar

Active Batteries & Solar is a local business providing service and expert advice on portable power solutions. It specialises in the solar industry, from small caravan systems up to grid-connect or stand-alone systems. The service area covers the greater Nowra region and surrounding areas from Berry in the North to Ulladulla in the South. Mobile battery service is available throughout the Illawarra region and more.

Roadside assistance can come to your home, work, farm, marina or boat ramp. The mobile battery service comes with a nationwide warranty. The business is a Battery Collection centre for used lead acid battery recycling. Products are guaranteed 100%. Main services include battery testing, dual battery systems, portable solar power solutions, battery charging systems, and electrical system health checks.

Active Batteries & Solar has built a reputation in the Nowra district for practical battery advice and straightforward service, and the pattern across feedback is consistent. Customers in several reviews describe staff who take the time to diagnose a problem properly, whether that involves a vehicle battery, a van storage and solar setup or a more complicated replacement.

Clint is thanked for free troubleshooting advice, Brian for patiently explaining options and treating every customer the same way, Warren for understanding specific needs, Glen for deep battery knowledge, and Nathan for professionalism on a job that proved more involved than usual. Reviewers often mention that testing, removal and replacement are handled on the spot, often while they wait, with old batteries checked and alternators inspected before a vehicle is returned. Pricing comes up as fair and clearly explained, and the team is described as polite, informative and happy to answer questions without pressure.

Reliability shows in accounts of batteries being swapped out immediately after a breakdown, including one rescue after a 4x4 failed while camping off grid. Customers note the lack of fuss and the honest, trustworthy manner that keeps them returning for car, ute and camping power needs, with one describing the outlet as their go-to place for batteries. The recurring theme is knowledgeable help delivered without a hard sell.
