We initially had Solar Run fit roof panels and 2 batteries and were happy with the work. Due to that initial positive experience, we returned to them twice more—adding another 2 batteries, and then a final 2 batteries. In total, we have spent about $50,000 with this company as loyal, returning customers. The Positives: The installation crew themselves were professional and prompt throughout the entire process. They did their job well and were very polite. The Issues: Communication: We never received a single text, email, or phone call to notify us of an installation date. They simply turned up unannounced every time. Since we keep our property locked for security, it was only by sheer luck that I was home to let them in. Prioritization: For our final 5 panels, we were told by Stephen that we would have to wait six months because brand-new customers were being prioritized over us. We understand there was a Victorian Government battery rebate at the time with strict installation deadlines for others. However, we still believe it is completely unacceptable to push a loyal, returning customer to a six-month waitlist to complete an expansion, especially since the panel installation ultimately took only an hour to finish. When I challenged this delay—pointing out our history as three-time customers—Stephen’s response was to threaten to cancel our contract and not install the panels at all. This felt like an incredibly unprofessional way to treat a high-spend client. Product Condition: When those final panels were eventually installed, they arrived covered in mud and grass. They appeared second-hand in comparison to the rest of our clean system. When I raised this, the installer’s explanation was that they had been "sitting around in the yard for months in the dirt." It is deeply disappointing to spend this amount of money only to be told that new business is more important than existing loyalty. I cannot recommend this company based on the management's attitude and the lack of basic professional communication. - Don

Steve came in and gave us a very informative consultation, then offered several quotes to suit different budgets. I consulted several companies, and Solar Run provided the most reasonable quote, using only high-quality products from major brands. A few weeks later, the team came to install our solar panels and battery. They did a beautiful job!
