Positive Batteries & Camping

Positive Batteries & Camping has been operating since 1996 and operates in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales. It has a store in Rockhampton, which offers batteries, camping and 4WD gear. The Rockhampton store is one of the largest camping stores and stocks fishing tackle, fire pits, sunglasses and thongs. The team are highly trained battery technicians.

Positive Batteries offers free battery recycling at all locations. It stocks brands including Marshall Batteries, Exide Batteries, SuperCharge Batteries, Projecta, Engel, Redarc and WildTrak. Positive Batteries provides home solar and off-grid solutions, dual battery 4x4 systems with solar panels, and portable power options including smart battery boxes. It offers a battery finder tool.

Caravan, camping and vehicle power needs draw customers to this Rockhampton store, where the recurring theme is knowledgeable assistance delivered without fuss. Customers writing about their orders describe staff who take time to diagnose a problem and resolve it on the spot, from fitting a replacement battery to supplying missing bolts free of charge and organising a dual-battery setup that pairs solar charging with a suitable battery. A detail many reviews return to is the breadth of stock, spanning automotive, marine and deep-cycle batteries alongside camping equipment and outdoor gear, with advice given plainly rather than as a sales pitch.

Shoppers describe quick turnaround, including batteries swapped over in store while they wait, and care taken with small details such as mounting and connections. Team members David and George are singled out for helping fit a purchased product and sorting out a dull lighting problem in no time. The same helpful manner extends to walk-in enquiries about tents and other outdoor supplies, with staff explaining options and sourcing parts so that repairs and upgrades perform as intended once in use.
